With spectacular views in every direction, Ridgway is a year-round gateway to the mountains with access to unlimited outdoor adventure. From town, there are hiking, trail running and bike trails for all levels and interests. Snowshoeing and cross-country skiing is found on the county roads or in groomed areas. Known for its alpine touring access, Red Mountain Pass is just south of town. If camping if desired, options range from a family KOA to primitive multi-day backpacking access.
